Frosting Message Toothpick Hack

Writing on a cake with a bag of frosting may seem daunting. Use this simple trick for a beautifully written “Happy Birthday!” every time.

You’ll need:

• A cooled, frosted cake made with your favorite Funfetti^® Premium Cake Mix and Funfetti^® Frosting
• 1 Tub Funfetti^® Vanilla Flavored Frosting
• Food coloring
• Piping bags
• Piping tips (recommend number 4B and 4)
• Toothpick

1. Color one tub of Funfetti^® Vanilla Frosting with the food coloring of your choice. Spoon ¾ of the frosting into a piping bag fitted with piping tip 4B.
2. Pipe a decorative border around the cake. Spoon the remaining ¼ tub of frosting into a piping bag fitted with piping tip 4.
3. Using a toothpick, write your desired “Happy Birthday” message onto the cake. Pipe frosting over the toothpick-etched letters. Top with sprinkles from frosting lid.
